"Explicit lyrics" fou enregistrat entre els mesos de febrer i juny del 2006 a Tavèrnoles (Osona).

El disc és un conjunt de temes composats en diferents èpoques però que han trobat un espai on ser encabits gràcies a diversos punts en comú:

* per una banda el rock, aquest llenguatge universal tant bàsic i alhora sovint tant desconegut i confós entre múltiples etiquetes desconcertants, amb prou textura “esponjífora” per no tancar portes a totes les sonoritats i influències que vinguin al pas.

* per altra banda, un context, una mirada crítica que allunyi el lector o oient de la indiferència en descobrir el fons dels textos de les cançons. L’esperit de l’obra és eminentment musical i no era pas un objectiu pre-establert l’endinsar-se tant profundament en l’actualitat que ens envolta quan es va començar a gestar aquest projecte. Però, tenint l’oportunitat de ser testimoni d’un moment històric concret, no valia la pena deixar-ne una petita petja i aprofitar aquest megàfon que és l’expressió artística? Doncs va ser el moment d’abaixar barreres i fer aflorar idees que plasmessin més humanitat que superficialitat (com a mínim intentar-ho!) i arrodonir i fer més significatiu aquest treball.

La cirereta en fou el títol: “Explicit lyrics” (de anglès, “Lletres explícites”), i l’etiqueta blanc-i-negre on s’emmarca.

És aquella etiqueta que al “país de la llibertat” (E.U.A.) s’utilitza per avisar els compradors de discos que el contingut del material que es disposen a adquirir pot ferir la seva sensibilitat en escoltar qui sap quins mots, que potser senzillament certes oïdes no estan preparades per rebre...
